Julio Jones takes blame for Falcons' lack of offensive production

Brace Hemmelgarn / USA TODAY Sports

Although the Atlanta Falcons' offense has sputtered through a four-game losing streak, Julio Jones is the last person anyone would blame.

The Falcons' standout wide receiver has caught 49 passes for 676 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Nonetheless, Jones has taken full responsibility for the Falcons' failures.

"I got to go out there and make plays when they are presented to me. I got to go out there and catch the ball, be more of a deep threat," Jones told NFL AM on Wednesday. "We are out there misreading or dropping balls. We have to fix that. It's nothing that the defense is doing, we have to fix that here."

After routing the Buccaneers 56-14 in Week 3, the Falcons have lost their last four games to the Vikings, Giants, Bears and Ravens. Atlanta's schedule doesn't get easier as the Falcons play the 5-2 Detroit Lions on Sunday.
