Putting together yet another complete effort, the Arizona Cardinals move to 5-1 on the season with a 24-13 win on the road over the Oakland Raiders. With the loss, the Raiders fall to 0-6 and are now the lone winless team remaining in the NFL.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Although the Cardinals' offense struggled at times, the unit made plays when it needed to most.
  • In his second game back from injury and his first against his former team, quarterback Carson Palmer led the way completing 22-of-31 passes for 253 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
  • While a 3.3 yards-per-carry average doesn't stand out on the stat sheet, it was the timing of the first-down pickups from running backs Andre Ellington and Stepfan Taylor that made them most successful in this game.
  • Ellington was also the Cardinals' leading receiver, hauling in six receptions for 72 yards.
  • Despite the unimpressive stat line, completing 16-of-28 for 173 yards, Raiders rookie quarterback Derek Carr continues to stand out as one of the team's best players thus far.
  • The Raiders' running game took a step back after showing some improvement last week, as Darren McFadden, Maurice Jones-Drew and Carr combined for only 56 yards and a 2.9 yards-per-carry average.
  • A lack of depth on the Raiders' defensive side of the ball continues to be exposed, highlighted by an inability to get off the field on key third downs.
