After Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter went down in a heap while chasing down New Orleans running back Khiry Robinson on Sunday night, many feared he would be in for an extended absence. That may not be the case.

The MRI machine in Arlington will be busy on Monday, as Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne will get his injured knee checked out as well.

All in all, if Carter escapes with only a strain, that would have to be chalked up as a win for the injury-depleted Cowboys defense.
