Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford is taking a leave of absence in order to fully recover from a medical condition, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

The 52-year-old underwent a coronary angioplasty early in September to place two stents in an artery near his heart.

As Rapoport notes, quarterbacks coach Marcus Arroyo's role with the offense will likely expand in Tedford's absence.
