Peterson's arraignment moved to October

by Kyle Smith

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson won't have his day in court until Oct. 8  at  9 a.m. CT, the Montgomery County District Attorney's office told NFL Media on Monday.

Peterson was indicted on Friday for reckless or negligent injury to a child following an incident with his four-year-old son. He was activated by the Vikings on Monday, and is expected to play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon.

The six-time Pro Bowler's arraignment was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but the procedure was moved to next month because his lawyer, Rusty Hardin, is out of the country.
