Sanders (suspension) missed the team's first three preseason games but played Thursday and returned punts in the second half, the Florida Times-Union reports. "It's great to see him back there,'' coach Gus Bradley. "He creates things. He makes things happen.''
Analysis:
After Tandon Doss (ankle) left the game in the second quarter, Sanders stepped in and handled punt return duties, logging returns of 13, 31 and 23 yards in the second half. While Sanders will likely take over punt return duties when he returns from his four-game suspension, the Jaguars have not announced who will return punts in the meantime. Doss, if healthy, is probably the leading candidate, but Will Blackmon and Mike Brown are also contenders.
