'Slap Ya Mama' ad pulled from Saints' preseason finale 'in light of domestic violence issues'

Cajun seasoning company "Slap Ya Mama" has had its super-imposed red-zone advertisement pulled from the New Orleans Saints' preseason finale broadcast next week.
In a release, the company stated the ad would be removed "in light of the domestic violence issues facing the NFL."
Christopher Dade of the New Orleans Times-Pacayune noted the crackdown on "virtual signage" and local ads appearing on national broadcasts. While some companies may be successful in sneaking their product past regulators, the name "Slap Ya Mama" is hardly covert, given the circumstances.
