The New Orleans Saints welcomed back the biggest part of their offense on Sunday, as quarterback Drew Brees took part in team drills

The eight-time pro bowler has been held of out practice since Aug. 1 as a precaution after suffering a minor oblique strain. The nagging nature of a core injury on a quarterback's throwing motion led to the Saints taking the time to be extra patient and ensure Brees was fully recovered.

He will likely be good to go for their third preseason game Saturday in Indianapolis, according to head coach Sean Payton
