With a possible year-long suspension looming, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has reportedly hired an attorney to help him win his appeal.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Gordon hired Maurice Suh, the same attorney who helped Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman win his appeal hearing in December 2012.
Sherman was suspended four games after violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, but argued that there were errors in the chain of custody of his urine sample.
Gordon, meanwhile, is facing suspension after reportedly failing a third drug test. His appeal hearing is scheduled for Aug. 1.
