VIDEO: free agent Adam Carriker deadlifts 505 pounds

In his continuing quest to land a gig with an NFL team, free agent defensive end Adam Carriker released a video on instagram showing off a 505-pound deadlift.

The video was accompanied by the following message:

Each week a fan will ask how my leg is doing and when I'll be back on the football field. My answer has simply been that I'm focused and working hard. Yesterday, I did the hex bar dead lift for 2 reps at 505lbs. #LargestArmsOnTheDLine is not just strong...he is healthy.

A rash of quadriceps injuries and multiple surgeries kept Carriker on the shelf for 30 consecutive games, causing the Washington Redskins to cut him in March.

In his last full season in the NFL, the 30-year-old Nebraska product recorded 5 1/2 sacks and 34 combined tackles while appearing in all 16 games (15 starts).
