The Philadelphia Eagles have added some size and strength to their receiving corps by scooping up Vanderbilt wide receiver Jordan Matthews with the 42nd pick of the second round.

The Eagles gave up a fourth-round pick to move up from 54 to 42 to draft Matthews.

With DeSean Jackson gone, Chip Kelly was rumored to be looking to add another wideout to his high-octane offense, and Matthews would fit the bill.

Matthews, a cousin to hall-of-fame receiver Jerry Rice, is one of the most productive wideouts in SEC history,  posting 112 receptions for 1,477 yards and seven touchdowns during the 2013 season.

At six-foot-three and 212 pounds, Matthews is an impressive physical specimen, proving his strength at the combine by performing 21 reps on the bench press.
