Eric Decker believes the recent signing of Chris Johnson will bring another dimension to the New York Jets' offense this season.
"I'm excited," the newly-signed Jets wideout told "NFL AM" on Friday. "He's hungry. He's got a chip on his shoulder. I think he adds a dynamic piece of our offense."
More importantly, Decker believes Johnson provides a stark contrast to secondary back Chris Ivory.
"Chris Ivory is kind of the tough guy that gets in there and gets the yard," Decker added. "Chris Johnson is the guy that can break a six-yard run into a 60-yard touchdown. It's big for us to get some speed on the offense to complement the defense."
The new-look Gang Green offense could also include a new quarterback in 2014, after veteran pivot Michael Vick came on board. Vick will compete with Geno Smith for the starting job.
The fate of New York's season may depend on how well all of the new additions on offense mesh.
