Bears sign DE Austen Lane to one-year contract
The Chicago Bears have signed free-agent defensive end Austen Lane.
The move marks Lane's fourth team in as many years. Selected in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL draft by Jacksonville, the 26-year-old went on to play 28 games for the Jaguars, registering 66 tackles.
After being released in June, Lane signed with the Kansas City Chiefs the following day but never played a game. He agreed to a deal with the Detroit Lions in November but was cut after making two appearances.
