Report: Dolphins elevate Slowik to OC
The Miami Dolphins are promoting Bobby Slowik to offensive coordinator, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Slowik joined Mike McDaniel's staff as a senior passing game coordinator last February after serving as the Houston Texans' offensive coordinator for two seasons. He reportedly interviewed for the Philadelphia Eagles' vacant offensive coordinator position before taking the Dolphins job.
The 38-year-old helped C.J. Stroud win Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2023. However, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans fired him following a disappointing 2024 offensive campaign. During Slowik's tenure in Houston, the Texans ranked 21st in EPA/play and 28th in success rate, according to Ben Baldwin's database.
Slowik becomes the second coordinator whom Jeff Hafley has hired after reportedly bringing in former Buffalo Bills special teams coordinator Chris Tabor to fill the same position in Miami. Hafley, 46, was named the 15th head coach in franchise history Monday.
