Jaguars' Lewis out for year with foot injury
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back Jourdan Lewis has been placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season due to a foot injury, the team announced Thursday.
He's scheduled to undergo surgery to repair the ailment, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Lewis suffered the injury in Jacksonville's 34-20 victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 16. The veteran played in over 68% of the snaps in that contest but didn't practice Wednesday.
The Jaguars signed Lewis to a three-year, $30-million deal in March after he spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Dallas Cowboys. He's been a crucial part of Jacksonville's secondary in 2025, recording 39 tackles, 10 passes defended, and two interceptions in 12 contests.
Jacksonville leads the AFC South with an 11-4 record heading into its Week 17 contest against the Indianapolis Colts.
