The Cincinnati Bengals selected Michigan defensive lineman Kris Jenkins in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, No. 49 overall.

Jenkins was one of the college football's premier run-stuffers, earning the PFF's fifth-best grade against the run among all Power Five defensive tackles.

The Bengals have struggled to stop opposing rushing attacks over the past few seasons and lost tackle D.J. Reader in free agency.

Jenkins had 91 total tackles and 4.5 sacks over the last two seasons with the Wolverines.

Pre-draft profile

Jenkins is the son of former Pro Bowl defensive lineman Kris Jenkins. He now heads to the NFL after contributing as a key piece of a defense that led Michigan to a national title. Jenkins is a smart, explosive prospect who plays with the power necessary for an every-down role up front. He'll need time to further develop his pass-rush arsenal, but he can make an immediate impact as a run defender. Jenkins' best fit may be as a five-technique defensive end who can kick inside on passing downs.
