Format

The teams of two will go head to head for 18 holes in match-play format using a modified alternate-shot scoring system. That means all four players will tee off and from there, depending on whose drive each team selects, will alternate shots until the ball is in the hole. The team that makes the lowest score will win the hole.

The course

The Reserve at Moonlight Basin is a beastly 7,800-yard course at 7,500 feet of elevation. One hole, the par-5 17th, is listed at 777 yards on the scorecard and will host the event's long-drive contest.

And wind could be a huge factor.

The cause

My Brother's Keeper Alliance, Feeding America, and the Montana Food Bank Network will be the beneficiaries of the competition.
