Aaron Jones isn't going anywhere.

The Green Bay Packers have re-signed the star running back, inking him to a four-year deal worth $48 million that includes a $13-million signing bonus, his agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jones also confirmed the move on Twitter.

The 26-year-old would have been the top running back available in free agency this offseason.

The 2017 fifth-round pick out of UTEP has topped 1,000 rushing yards in each of the last two seasons, and his 30 total touchdowns since 2019 are tied for the NFL's second-most over that span.

Jones led the league with 16 rushing TDs in 2019, and he's averaged 5.5 yards per carry in all but one campaign since entering the NFL. His new $12-million average annual salary ranks sixth among running backs (tied with the Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Mixon), according to Spotrac.

"Aaron would have signed for more in free agency but wanted to stay in Green Bay," Rosenhaus said, according to Schefter.

"I'm just glad I could keep playing where I started my career," Jones said Sunday.

The Pro-Bowler is set to remain atop Green Bay's running back depth chart, which also features 2020 second-round pick AJ Dillon. The Boston College product appeared in 11 games as a rookie, rushing for 242 yards (5.3 per carry) and two touchdowns.

Jamaal Williams, who finished second on the team with 119 carries in 2020, is set to hit the open market this offseason. Williams has racked up 650-plus scrimmage yards and three scores in each of his first four NFL campaigns.
