Wide receiver DeSean Jackson will miss "significant time" due to an ankle injury suffered during Thursday night's win over the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said Friday, according to Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal.

The Eagles will place Jackson on the injured reserve, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The 33-year-old was carted to the locker room after taking a big hit during a fourth-quarter punt return. He couldn't put any weight on his right leg and was sporting a walking boot following the game.

Jackson was playing in his first contest since Week 3 due to a hamstring strain. He also missed most of the 2019 campaign with a core muscle injury that required surgery.

Meanwhile, right tackle Lane Johnson suffered a Grade 1 MCL strain in Thursday's victory, but he shouldn't miss much action, Rapoport reports.
