Deshaun Watson offers to help Houston residents facing eviction
Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is hoping to come to the aid of Houston residents who have been evicted during the coronavirus pandemic.
After seeing a CNN report Thursday about a father named Israel Rodriguez Sr. and others facing eviction, Watson sent out a tweet asking for help getting in touch with the people featured in the story.
This is crazy. Someone please help me find Israel Rodriguez and the elderly women in this video. Would love to help them get back on their feet. 🙏🏾 https://t.co/FfUz5oUwDC

The Harris County Precinct One Office set up a GoFundMe page to help evicted tenants in the Houston area, which has raised more than $69,000 as of Friday afternoon.
Housing is an important issue for Watson, who provides rent and mortgage assistance to families through his Deshaun Watson Foundation. He has also worked with Habitat for Humanity and helped refurnish homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
