Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley has become the subject of NFL trade discussions, NFL Network's Michael Silver reports.

The former Offensive Player of the Year helped lead the Rams to Super Bowl LIII in 2018 but took a significant step back from his 1,251 yards and 17 touchdowns, recording 857 yards and 12 scores while battling knee concerns in 2019.

Gurley signed a four-year, $57.7-million extension in 2018. He'll earn a $7.55-million guaranteed bonus Friday if he's still on the roster, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, who adds Gurley's $5.5-million base salary for 2020 would also become guaranteed.

The NFL's legal tampering period opened Monday and already resulted in a big trade, as the Houston Texans reportedly dealt star receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for David Johnson.
