Titans' Henry misses 2nd straight practice, says he'll play vs. Texans

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry didn't practice for the second consecutive day on Thursday as he battles a hamstring injury. But the 25-year-old said he'll play in his club's Week 15 divisional clash against the Houston Texans.

"I'll be ready to go," Henry said, according to Titans Online's Jim Wyatt. "When Sunday comes, I'll be ready to go."

The running back leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns this season. He's posted 1,243 yards and a league-leading 13 touchdowns on the ground through 13 games. Since Week 10, Henry leads all runners in rushing yards (599) and touchdowns (7).

The former second-round pick prepared for Sunday's pivotal tilt despite not practicing this week.

"As long as I am in the meetings and watching film and get a little bit of work, I think I'll be fine," he said. "It's football, you are going to have injuries ... you have to play through them, and you have to be tough."

The 8-5 Titans possess the same record as Houston, but the Texans hold the AFC South lead by virtue of their superior record within the division.

However, Tennesse - currently on a four-game winning streak - will have its chance to alter the standings, as the club will face Houston in two of its last three regular-season contests.
