The Chicago Bears have acquired kicker Eddy Pineiro from the Oakland Raiders for a conditional seventh-round draft choice in 2021, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The pick will reportedly be conveyed if Pineiro appears on Chicago's active roster for five games.

The Bears have spent all winter and spring searching for a kicker. They signed four kickers earlier in the offseason but released two at the end of rookie camp Sunday. Four other kickers attended the camp on a tryout basis.

With the trade, Chicago now has three kickers on its roster: Pineiro, Elliott Fry, and Chris Blewitt.

Kicking woes doomed the Bears last season. Their campaign ended in the playoffs after Cody Parkey missed a 43-yard field-goal attempt at the end of the fourth quarter versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

Pineiro, a Florida alum, spent his rookie season on injured reserve with the Raiders. He converted all three of his field-goal tries in the preseason.
