The Cincinnati Bengals have put wide receiver John Ross on the trade block just two years after drafting him with the No. 9 overall pick, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Ross - the owner of the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL history at 4.22 seconds - didn't catch a single pass in his rookie season and had 210 yards in 16 games during the 2018 campaign.

New head coach Zac Taylor is set to revamp the Bengals' offense, and with A.J. Green and 2018 breakout star Tyler Boyd atop the depth chart, it appears Cincinnati will try to recoup some assets for the former first-rounder.

Ross had seven touchdowns on just 21 catches last season, and possesses rare speed and youth.

Any team that acquires the wide receiver, however, will have to take on the rest of his four-year, $17.1-million contract.
