Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner left Sunday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth quarter with what head coach Mike Tomlin later deemed a lower leg contusion.

Conner was helped off the field and immediately taken to the locker room. He was injured while being tackled after a 10-yard reception.

One of the stories of the 2018 season, the former third-round pick totaled 74 yards and two touchdowns before exiting.

Rookie Jaylen Samuels and veteran Stevan Ridley are Conner's backups.
