Beer-throwing Patriots fan charged after Hill calls for prosecution

The New England Patriots fan who threw beer at Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill had already paid the price for his action - receiving an indefinite ban from Gillette Stadium - but now finds himself in hot water with the law.

The fan has been identified as a 21-year-old male. He'll be charged with disorderly conduct and throwing an object at a sporting event, Foxborough Police told CBS Boston.

Just minutes prior to the police announcement, Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN's Adam Schefter that he and his client were exploring options with the league office and the players' union.

"That type of behavior is unacceptable," Rosenhaus said. "Players have to be protected. We want that fan to be prosecuted."

After Hill caught a 75-yard touchdown pass to tie Sunday night's game with just over three minutes left, his momentum took him toward a section of Patriots fans. The male who was charged sprayed Hill with beer, while others flipped him the middle finger.
