Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is in the clear after undergoing tests on a strained shoulder suffered in Thursday's preseason defeat to the New England Patriots, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Rapoport added that Foles won't require "any prolonged recovery."

The backup quarterback was hurt on a strip sack in the second quarter of the contest. However, he didn't appear concerned after the game, telling reporters he felt "pretty good."

Carson Wentz, by his own admission, remains a question mark to be ready for the Eagles' season opener, so Foles' health continues to be of the utmost importance to the defending Super Bowl champions.
