If you're wondering why the Eagles-Saints game this fall looks a bit off, blame Philadelphia head coach Doug Pederson.

The Eagles will wear their home jerseys when they travel to play the Saints in Week 11 after their head coach won a golf bet with New Orleans head coach Sean Payton, according to ESPN's Mike Triplett.

The bet took place at a coaches tournament during the NFL meetings in March. Pederson won it after a three-hole carryover.

"There's a good chance it involved me being in the water," Payton told Triplett.

Pederson said Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman were pleasantly surprised upon learning of the bet.

"Obviously, they couldn't believe it," Pederson said. "But we had a great day, it was fun, it was exciting. And listen, when those competitive juices are flowing, he wanted to beat me and I wanted to beat him. That's just the way it goes."
