It appears a marriage between the San Francisco 49ers and free-agent wide receiver Dez Bryant will not be occurring any time soon.
Despite a recent Instagram comment from Bryant - later deleted - claiming interest in joining San Francisco, the team is unlikely to sign the veteran receiver, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Although Pelissero adds there's a mutual respect between Bryant and the 49ers, general manager John Lynch is reportedly happy with their current receiver group of Pierre Garcon, Marquise Goodwin, Trent Taylor, and 2018 second-round pick Dante Pettis.
Bryant was released in April after spending eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns in 2017.
