Eagles agree to terms on new contract with Sproles

Philadelphia Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman confirmed that the team has agreed to terms on a new contract for running back Darren Sproles.

Sproles broke his arm and tore his ACL on the same play in a September 2017 game against the New York Giants, leading some to believe that he may retire at the end of the year.

The three-time Pro Bowler is a tremendous asset to the Eagles' special teams and can be deployed as a running back or receiver coming out of the backfield.

Sproles rushed for 438 yards and two touchdowns, adding 52 receptions for 427 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games during the 2016 season.
