The NFL's ultimate competitor apparently doesn't want to go out with a Super Bowl loss.

Tom Brady's agent, Don Yee, told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday that he expects his client to return for a 19th NFL season in 2018.

"Tom's intentions have not changed," Yee said. "He's consistently said he'll play beyond this contract and into his mid-40s, or until he feels he isn't playing at a championship level. I understand the constant speculation, but this is one point he's been firm about."

The New England Patriots' star quarterback - who turns 41 in August - hadn't committed to playing as of April 18, according to Schefter, and is seeking a new contract before the start of the campaign. His current deal expires after 2019.

The news of Brady's commitment comes just days before the 2018 draft, in which it's been speculated that New England could look to select the five-time Super Bowl champion's successor at quarterback.
