Darnold: Looking at mock drafts would drive me insane

It seems inevitable that Sam Darnold's name will be called early in the opening round of Thursday's NFL draft, while the majority of experts have the former USC star going first overall to the Cleveland Browns.

However, the 20-year-old said Monday that he's stayed away from reading those predictions.

"I haven't looked at mock drafts," Darnold said on "Pro Football Talk Live." "If I looked at those a lot I think I would drive myself insane."

When it comes to oddsmakers, it seems the only threat to Darnold being the top pick is former Wyoming pivot Josh Allen. Darnold is currently listed as the betting favorite to be selected No. 1 (-260 odds), while Allen is next (+200).
