Jay Feely: Daughter's prom photo of me holding gun was meant as a joke

Former NFL kicker turned CBS analyst, Jay Feely, says a photo he posted to Twitter on Saturday night in which he posed with his daughter and her boyfriend before their prom while holding a gun was a joke.

The photo received plenty of social media backlash, so Feely addressed the topic with another Tweet on Sunday morning.

"The prom picture I posted was obviously intended to be a joke. My daughter has dated her boyfriend for over a year and they knew I was joking. I take gun safety seriously (the gun was not loaded and had no clip in) and I did not intend to be insensitive to that important issue," wrote Feely.
