The Oakland Raiders are expected to exercise the fifth-year option in wide receiver Amari Cooper's rookie contract, a source told Josina Anderson of ESPN.
Cooper regressed in 2017 after posting 1,000-yard-plus seasons in each of his first two years in the league. He finished the campaign with 48 catches for 680 yards, 325 of which came in just two games.
However, the 23-year-old has flashed star potential and the entire Raiders offense struggled last year after a standout 2016 campaign, so it was likely an easy decision for Oakland to pick up the extra year on Cooper's deal.
