Danny Woodhead announces retirement after 10-year career

Veteran running back Danny Woodhead announced his retirement from the NFL on Friday after a 10-year career via an Instagram post.

The 33-year-old made thanked God, his wife, his agent Chris Gittings, as well as former teammates and coaches for their support during his career.

Woodhead began his career with the New York Jets, where he signed as an undrafted free agent out of Chadron State, and enjoyed stints with the San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots before joining the Ravens.

Last season, he suited up in eight games and rushed for 56 yards on 14 attempts and put up 200 yards receiving on 33 receptions. He concludes his career with 2,238 yards rushing and 2,698 yards receiving.
