A family version of Tom Brady's Super Bowl LI championship ring sold Sunday morning for $344,927, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.

It's the second-highest price tag for a piece of sports memorabilia from the last 25 years, surpassed only by the jersey Mike Piazza wore in the New York Mets' first game after Sept. 11, 2001. The jersey went for $365,000 in April 2016.

The Super Bowl LI family ring features an engraving of Brady's name and comes with an appraisal letter from the maker, who valued the piece at $29,700.

While the official ring Brady received after Super Bowl LI contains 283 diamonds - commemorating the 28-3 deficit the New England Patriots overcame versus the Atlanta Falcons - the family version has 265. The family version is also about 10 percent smaller.

It's unknown who purchased the ring, as the buyer asked to remain anonymous.
