Amazon, YouTube, Twitter, and Verizon are on the shortlist of contenders to win the streaming rights for Thursday Night Football, sources told Todd Spangler of Variety.

The NFL is looking to lock down the streaming rights to a deal similar to the five-year agreement with FOX for the TV broadcast, which is reportedly worth an annual average of more than $660 million for the 11-game package.

The league is motivated by a desire to reach younger audiences, added Spangler.

Amazon held the streaming rights to TNF last season, while Twitter had them the year before.
