Former Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy needed just 14 seconds to knock out Ryan Chester in a heavyweight bout at LFA 33 in Dallas on Friday.

Hardy improved to 3-0 as an amateur MMA fighter.

Selected 175th overall by the Panthers in the 2010 NFL Draft, Hardy played parts of six seasons in the league, making the Pro Bowl in 2013.

He was found guilty of communicating threats and assaulting then-girlfriend Nicole Holder in 2014. Charges were later dismissed and expunged from his record when Holder told prosecutors she didn't want to testify in Hardy's appeal trial.

The 29-year-old signed with the Richmond Roughriders of the American Arena League in January.
