Millions of Eagles fans packed the streets of Philadelphia on Thursday for the team's Super Bowl championship parade. Others were there in spirit.

Several fans, including one who travelled from Florida, brought the ashes of their deceased relatives with them to scatter on the parade route.

Dustin Slaughter of Philadelphia told The Inquirer's Tricia L. Nadolny he brought a small urn containing his father's ashes for the celebration.

"It feels good to have him with me for a day like today," Slaughter said.

Another fan, Andrew Immordino, brought the ashes of his brother, who passed away suddenly on New Year's Eve, to Super Bowl LII.
