Report: Browns to hire Todd Haley as offensive coordinator

Todd Haley is sticking in the AFC North, as the former Pittsburgh Steelers play-caller will join the Cleveland Browns as their offensive coordinator, sources told Michael Silver of NFL Network.

The move, though not yet official, has been rumored for days. Haley is expected to take over play-calling duties from head coach Hue Jackson, who's struggled to ignite the passing game since his hiring two years ago.

Haley spent six seasons coordinating Pittsburgh's offense until the team announced last week his contract would not be renewed for 2018. He was previously the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs for three years.

The Steelers routinely put up big numbers under Haley's guidance, but his fiery personality and stubborn approach resulted in a strained relationship with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger - one that reportedly worsened this season.
