Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans with a quad injury, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Fournette was previously listed as questionable on the team's injury report. He's also battling an ankle injury.

The rookie standout has rushed for 923 yards and eight touchdowns in 11 games.

Chris Ivory will start in Fournette's absence while T.J. Yeldon is also expected to get carries.

Fournette has been a key component of the Jaguars' offense as the team is trying to wrap up their first divisional title since 1999.
