The Rock endorses Golden Tate for Pro Bowl
The friendship between The Rock and Golden Tate continues to blossom.
Tate pantomimed The Rock's famous "People's Elbow" after scoring a touchdown for the Detroit Lions during an Oct. 15 loss to the New Orleans Saints, catching the wrestler-turned-actor's eye.
The Rock - also known as Dwayne Johnson - played college football for Miami and made a bet with Tate, a former Notre Dame standout, on the outcome of the November contest between their alma maters. Tate was forced to wear a replica Johnson jersey after Miami won 41-8.
Tate's in the midst of another strong season, with 71 receptions for 767 yards and three touchdowns. The Rock wants to help ensure the Lions receiver makes it to the NFL's all-star game for the second time in his career.
If that isn't friendship, what is?
