The Cincinnati Bengals placed corner Adam Jones on injured reserve Saturday, signaling the end of the season for the 11-year vet.

Jones suffered a groin injury in Monday night's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on the same play in which he intercepted his first pass of the season.

William Jackson will likely take over starting duties in Jones' place.

Jones, 34, has one year remaining on his contract, but the Bengals could earn $6 million in cap savings by cutting him.
