Dwight Freeney had the chance to accomplish an extremely rare NFL feat Thursday, but unfortunately for all trivia nuts out there, it was not to be.

The 37-year-old defensive end had an outside chance to compete in two games in a span of approximately 64 hours, however, his new team, the Detroit Lions, officially listed him as inactive for Thursday's afternoon contest against the Minnesota Vikings. As of 8:30 a.m., Freeney had still not taken his physical with his new club, according to Dave Birkett of The Detroit Free Press.

Freeney suited up for the Seattle Seahawks in Monday night's 34-31 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons, but was waived less than 24 hours after the contest. The Lions wasted little time in snagging the seven-time Pro Bowler, claiming him off waivers Wednesday.
