Vikings' Zimmer: It'd be 'hard to yank' Keenum in current form

Teddy Bridgewater may be back in uniform for the Minnesota Vikings after a lengthy absence due to injury, but it appears the starting quarterback job is Case Keenum's until further notice.

While Keenum didn't post the gaudy numbers in Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Rams that he did last week against the Washington Redskins, the veteran quarterback still threw for 280 yards and a score.

Head coach Mike Zimmer admitted after the contest that Keenum's strong play, coupled with the team's winning performance, will make it hard to switch to Bridgewater any time soon.

"It's going to be hard to yank him out of there right now," Zimmer said, as per Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune. "He's playing good. I still have really high hopes for Teddy, and a lot of things happen throughout the course of the season, so we'll just see how it goes."

Keenum has appeared in eight games this season for the NFC North-leading club, throwing for 1,914 yards and 11 touchdowns. With one of the best defensive units complimenting an efficient offense, the Vikings have reeled off six wins in a row.

The Vikings have a short week ahead with a Thanksgiving date against the Detroit Lions on Thursday.
