Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor is likely finished for the 2017 season due to a neck injury, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, who made the declaration Saturday on Good Morning Football.

Chancellor hasn't yet been ruled out for the Week 11 Monday Night game against the Atlanta Falcons, but Garafolo says multiple sources have indicated the star safety won't be playing, with the same sources indicating his season is likely finished.

The eighth-year player is Pro Football Focus' sixth-ranked safety through 10 weeks. He's recorded 49 combined tackles, and one forced fumble over nine games.

Recently he was named one of three NFL players to Forbes' 30 Under 30 sports list.

Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has already been ruled out for the remainder of 2017 due to a Achilles' injury.
