Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers underwent successful surgery to repair his broken collarbone on Thursday, the player announced via Instagram.

It remains unclear if Rodgers is expected to return this season. The Packers next possible move will be to decide if the quarterback will be put on injured reserve, where he would be eligible to return after eight weeks, or if they want to keep him on the active roster.

Rodgers last missed time in 2013 when he was out seven weeks with a broken left clavicle, which he did not undergo surgery to correct.

Brett Hundley will start on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
