Colin Kaepernick's lawyer has refuted claims that the quarterback was invited to a meeting regarding national anthem protests Tuesday.
Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins told Bob Glauber of Newsday that Kaepernick failed to attend the conference between players and owners, but lawyer Mark Geragos asserted the free agent wasn't asked to attend by the NFL or team executives.
A statement from Geragos notes players wanted Kaepernick to attend, and that he is open to future participation in league discussions.
