Winless Browns deny contacting possible front-office candidates

The Cleveland Browns said Sunday a report that the team is reaching out to front-office candidates is "false and erroneous," according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

After the Browns dropped to 0-6 with a poor display against the Houston Texans, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported the organization has already spoken to executives around the league about joining the suffering club. Florio added that the "wheels are in motion" for the Browns to reboot their franchise for what seems like the umpteenth time.

Currently, Cleveland's front office is headed by Sashi Brown, who brought in former MLB executive Paul DePodesta to install an analytics-based philosophy for personnel matters.

The Browns are 1-21 since hiring Hue Jackson as head coach ahead of the 2016 campaign.
