5 crazy moments from Saints-Lions thriller

Derick E. Hingle / USA TODAY Sports

The Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints provided fans with arguably the game of the season on Sunday, as the Saints emerged with a 52-38 victory.

Jaw-dropping highlights were abundant during the Week 6 thriller, and below we recap the craziest moments from the game.

Tate dangles through traffic, backflips into end zone

Golden Tate put the Saints' defense on skates during the first quarter.

After recording a catch near the sideline, the Lions receiver spun away from his defender and darted upfield where it seemed certain he'd be brought down. However, Tate had other ideas, bursting through a series of Saints defensive backs before taunting his opponent with a backflip into the end zone. We give the landing a solid 9/10.

Jones puts the Saints in the spin cycle

It's unwise to guard Marvin Jones with a single defender.

Jones timed his spinning jump perfectly against cornerback Ken Crawley, before coming down with a spectacular one-handed touchdown catch. It's no wonder Crawley looked to be in disbelief afterward.

Kamara goes airborne

In another life, Alvin Kamara could've been a track and field star.

On this play, Kamara hurdled Lions safety Darius Slay before going out of bounds. Well done, Alvin!

Two defensive lineman score TDs

It was a game that provided equal opportunity scoring, as Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan and Lions defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson each recorded a pick-6.

Saints fluster Stafford in end zone, score defensive TD

Sunday was a day Matthew Stafford will want to forget immediately.

During the first quarter, Alex Okafor and Kenny Vaccaro put pressure on the Lions quarterback, as Okafor flew around an offensive lineman to force a fumble. Vaccaro then pounced on the ball to open the scoring in what turned out to be absolute fireworks show.
